Präzipress by Turban

The Präzipress by Turban has been manufactured in Germany by Turban CNC-Zerspanungstechnik GmbH since 2012. In addition to its own reloading presses, the company manufactures precision components from metal and plastic. This expertise is also reflected in the design of the Präzipress.

What sets this single-stage press apart from a conventional O-frame press is primarily its guiding system. Two guide columns and a centring carriage running along them guide the ram throughout the entire stroke. The play in the guiding and centring system is within 1/100 mm. When sizing cases and seating bullets, the design also helps to keep misalignment and angular errors during reloading to a minimum.

Design and Technology of the Turban Präzipress

Turban primarily uses components machined from solid material in the manufacturing process. The ram, guide columns and pivot pins of the press are precision-ground to fit and then hard chrome-plated. Moving parts run in plain bearing bushes with solid lubricant. The reloading press is manufactured in-house by Turban, assembled by hand and thoroughly inspected before completion.

The Turban Präzipress operates like a conventional single-stage press and accepts standard dies and standard shell holders. The handle can be mounted for either right- or left-handed operation. Spent primers are collected and can then be disposed of.

With a 105mm stroke, the Präzipress is suitable for cartridges up to .338 Lapua Magnum.

Heavy Präzipress for Large Calibres

For larger cartridges, the Heavy Präzipress is available with three guide columns and different stroke lengths. The Heavy Präzipress with a 140mm stroke, for example, allows you to reload particularly large calibres up to .50 BMG.

This makes the Präzipress suitable not only for conventional hunting and sport shooting calibres, but also for long-range and benchrest shooting.
