Kahles HELIA RF 10x42 Binoculars with Rangefinder

The ergonomic Kahles HELIA 42 RF 10x42 combines high-quality optics with reliable range measurement up to 1,500 m on hunting-relevant targets (e.g. game animals or trees). The binoculars feature intuitive operation for practical use in the field. Additional functions such as Scan Mode and the patented EAC angle compensation support a safe and accurate assessment of shooting distance.

A Long Range function is also available, allowing simple, highly reflective targets to be measured at distances of up to 4,500 m. The clear OLED display with five manual brightness levels ensures excellent readability under changing light conditions.

EAC Function – Angle Compensation

The patented EAC function takes into account not only the measured distance but also the shooting angle, outputting a ballistically more relevant distance. Especially for angled shots in mountainous or steep terrain, this provides a more practical basis than simple angle correction methods.

Assumed distance: 400 m
Assumed angle: 40°
Result using Rifleman’s Rule: 306 m
Result using EAC function: 321 m

In this practical example, the deviation between the EAC function and Rifleman’s Rule is around 15 m, which—depending on caliber, projectile, barrel length, etc.—can already have a significant impact on accuracy.
