The Hornady ECX™ bullet (Extreme Copper Alloy eXpanding) is a lead-free, mass-stable expanding bullet featuring a flat polymer tip. These hunting bullets deliver reliable expansion and high penetration across a wide range of barrel designs and twist rates.

The monolithic copper alloy retains approximately 90% of its weight and ensures deep penetration without fragmentation. An optimized groove geometry reduces barrel fouling and enhances aerodynamic performance. The polymer tip provides consistent expansion, even at lower velocities.

The Hornady .224 ECX bullet is compatible with traditional European barrel dimensions and is particularly well-suited for hunting predators and light game.
