The Rottweil Waidmannsheil HV Plastik 12/70 with a 36 g shot charge and 2.7 mm shot is the plastic-hulled version of the legendary Waidmannsheil paper load. The cartridge combines a particularly stable paper tube insert with a felt wad and a cardboard disk. This ensures an even pressure build-up in the powder chamber, a high initial velocity and a very consistent shot pattern. The yellow plastic hull is durable and resilient, and the 20 mm metal base cap ensures reliable function.

The HV designation stands for High Velocity. With a muzzle velocity of about 395 m/s the cartridge produces fast hits and pronounced shock effect. The combination of a heavy shot charge and an optimised internal construction delivers good performance and solid coverage at the upper range of effective shotgun distances. The lacquer impregnation and the erosion-resistant SINOXID® primer help protect the barrel.
