The Hornady .430 FTX bullet is a high-performance expanding bullet specifically designed for hunting light and heavy game. The patented Flex Tip can be safely used in tubular magazines and provides higher velocity, flatter trajectories, and extended range. Unlike traditional flat-nose bullets, FTX bullets deliver greater accuracy and optimized ballistic performance for use in lever-action rifles.

Flex Tip® technology for tubular magazines
The patented Flex Tip is made of a flexible polymer and reliably prevents ignition in tubular magazines, even under heavy recoil. At the same time, it improves the bullet’s aerodynamics and enables a flatter trajectory.
Deep penetration and reliable expansion
The Hornady FTX bullet features a secant ogive profile with a boattail base for flat trajectories and excellent in-flight stability. The InterLock® ring keeps the core and jacket securely bonded during expansion, ensuring maximum energy transfer and deep penetration – even on heavy game.
