The Hornady .312 InterLock RN bullet features an exposed lead tip for controlled expansion and strong terminal performance. Its signature round nose design, combined with the proven InterLock® ring, ensures deep penetration and excellent energy retention. The secant ogive profile is one of the most efficient ballistic shapes, providing stable flight behavior even at medium ranges. The mechanical bonding of jacket and core keeps them locked together during expansion.

Internal Grooves

Strategically weakened upper jacket section promotes uniform, controlled expansion—even at longer ranges.

Tapered Jacket

Precisely controlled jacket thickness ensures consistent expansion across a wide velocity range.

One-Piece Core
